Pearce endorses Matt Tolman for City Council |
Mesa, AZ—State Representative
Russell Pearce (R-Mesa) today endorsed Matt Tolman for
Mesa City Council District 1. Tolman announced the endorsement
shortly before heading out with campaign volunteers
to continue meeting voters door-to-door. |
| “Matt is willing to put policies in place that
put Mesa families and taxpayers first,” said Pearce.
“His expertise and family values are the strength
of his campaign and they are the reasons I am most proud
to endorse Matt Tolman.” |
| Tolman said Rep. Pearce was one of the many community
leaders he had consulted prior to announcing his candidacy.
“Russell has been an effective state legislator
and a good friend and I thank him for his endorsement.
My campaign – my reason for running – is to
help bring new leadership, new ideas and new solutions
to Mesa city government. As a businessman, a family man
and a long time Mesa citizen, I believe we can move quickly
toward stronger emergency services, enact immediate fiscally
responsible policies that will help create new opportunities
and economic growth and protect families.” |
| Matt Tolman is a small business owner in Mesa who has
said his real-world experience can bring ideas to government
that career politicians “just aren’t looking
at.” Tolman emphasized the potential for job creation
and economic opportunity in Mesa, saying “What we
most need right now is someone who will listen to taxpayers,
to make sure that citizens, families and job providers
have a strong advocate on the city council.” |
