Mesa, AZ - Today former speaker of
the Arizona House of Representatives and Community Leader,
Mark Killian, announced his endorsement of Matt Tolman
for Mesa City Council, District 1.
In making his announcement Killian stated, "Mesa
is at a crossroads and the future of our community
is at stake. The people of Mesa need leaders who can
solve our challenges and help build a community that
is healthy and vibrant."
Killian continued, "A community with a strong
economic base will foster an environment for employment
opportunities creating a heaven for business development
and growth. Quality business opportunities and job
development should be the vision of Mesa's future
leaders."
"Matt, as I review your life experience and
your vision for Mesa I feel very comfortable in lending
my name to your campaign. It is a pleasure to endorse
you for a council seat for the city of Mesa. This
endorsement is not a rejection of other candidates,
but an acknowledgement that right now you are the
right person we need on the city council to tackle
the tough challenges facing the community." concluded
Killian.
In receiving Killian's endorsement Tolman said, "It
is a privilege and an honor to receive the endorsement
of a true fighter for the people of Mesa like Mark
Killian. Speaker Killian has been a longtime proponent
providing tax relief for Mesa's families and working
hard to make our streets safer. Speaker Killian understands
the problems we face here and I look forward to seeking
his counsel and his advice as we work to take Mesa
in a new direction and make it a better place to raise
a family."
Tolman has been previously endorsed by Maricopa County
Sheriff Joe Arpaio, State Senator Karen Johnson, State
Representative Russell Pearce, and State Republican
Chairman Randy Pullen.
